Ed-DaSH project developing data-driven life science skills

Posted by j.laird on 28 September 2021 - 2:00pm

Ed-DaSH logoEd-DaSH is a project recently funded within the UKRI MRC Innovation Scholars funding to deliver a Data Science training programme for Health and Biosciences.

The project started in February 2021 with a team from the University of Edinburgh, which is now completing the development of the new Carpentries-style lessons in topics at the intersection of omics, statistics and computation.

The first round of Ed-DaSH workshops started with Introductory Statistics and will follow with Data Science Workflows with Snakemake.

The project will continue until February 2023, offering several rounds of workshops to local and national audiences. Registrations to workshops are welcome as soon as they are made public on the Ed-DaSH website. The Ed-DaSH team welcomes offers of contributions to the review and maintenance of the lessons and the delivery of the workshops.
