As part of the SSI’s Research Software Camp: Beyond the Spreadsheet, we’re calling for blog post and/or guide proposals.
Do you have any tips to share for people who use spreadsheets in research? Do you think spreadsheets can be a powerful tool in research data management? Are you proficient in a particular tool or language and would like to share your expertise? Have any other ideas for content that can help the community using spreadsheets in their research? Then, reach out and write for us!
These are some title suggestions for content we’re looking for:
- Top tips on how to approach learning code
- Top 5 best resources to learn to code in Python
- 10 myths when learning to code for the first time
- Experiences of learning code, barriers or struggles along the way
If you’re looking for further inspirations, why not have a look at examples of content submitted to the first RS Camp on research accessibility.
Send your idea or proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org before the 30th September 2021.
If accepted, your piece will be featured in the internationally renowned Software Sustainability Institute blog as part of the Research Software Camp during the first two weeks of November 2021. If it’s a guide, it’ll be added to our collection of resources on the SSI website.
Do you already have an existing guide or blog post that is relevant to the use of spreadsheets in research? Get in touch! We’d love to repost it or include it in our list of useful resources.
