After two years online, the volunteers for Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC) were pleased to return in-person to ISC22 in Hamburg, Germany to present their thirteenth annual international workshop.

The first GPU hackathon at the University of Sheffield brought together researchers across Ireland and the UK.
The University of Sheffield partnered with NVIDIA and Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) to hold its first GPU hackathon where seven applications teams worked alongside mentors with GPU-programming expertise to accelerate their scientific codes using GPUs.
Sponsored by NVIDIA, Sheffield University will be hosting a five-day GPU Hackathon from 19th – 23rd August 2019 as part of the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility’s (OLCF’s) annual GPU Hackathon series.
