A Software Carpentry boot camp is a workshop during which participants learn software skills based on shorts tutorials and hands-on practical exercises. They're extremely useful for researchers who need to develop software, but haven't been formally taught how to do so. You can run your own boot camp with help from the people at Software Carpentry and here at the Software Sustainability Institute.
In our latest guide, Mike Jackson (one of our boot camp veterans) talks through everything you need to know about running your own boot camp. This is the latest in our series of guides.
