The University of Manchester and The Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) will be piloting a workshop on intermediate research software skills for Earth, atmospheric and oceanic sciences from 27 to 31 March 2023.

Sign up before the 15 January 2023.

Taking place at the University of Manchester, the workshop will help researchers to improve their research techniques within the Earth, atmospheric and oceanic sciences. The workshop will consist of instructor-led coding-along sessions, individual self-learning sessions aided by helpers, and small-group exercises mimicking real-life collaborative software projects.

The organisers are also offering an optional online training "Introduction and Conversion to Python" course on 14 February 2023. This course will help anyone who is not yet familiar with Python (but knows a different programming language) to learn the basics to help get the most out of the workshop. The option to sign up for this course is available when signing up for the workshop pilot.
