If you are a research software engineer or a researcher (including PhD candidates) who writes software, and you are from a systematically excluded group and would like to contribute to positive change in the research environment, have a look at this opportunity to get involved in the Inclusive Research Software project at the Software Sustainability Institute.
This project is an opportunity to explore ways of working together that give voice to multiple perspectives and honour the lived-experiences of those involved. It will include reaching out to others from underrepresented groups to co-create initiatives for improving inclusivity. We know that women and people of colour are underrepresented in research software, but we would be pleased to hear from you if you are from another minoritised group.
This is a remunerated session-based opportunity, structured to fit alongside your work or PhD programme and will run from January to April 2024. The application form is online and the deadline for applications is Friday 17th November 10am.
