Interests
I am interested in Micro-CT, 3D imaging, visualisation, and promoting science through public awareness and engagement. My interests lie in bringing together different scientific communities through common research interests, this can be seen at the annual ToScA conference, where I am the chair.
Research
I am part of a world leading imaging team based in the Imaging and analysis centre in the Natural History Museum and my area of expertise is Micro-CT. I am responsible for facilitating over 100 projects annually, varying from Martian meteorites to dinosaur fossils. My research is focused on developing Micro-CT and applying it to natural sciences. I am involved in imaging and interpretation of fragile and rare museum collections with modern technology.
My personal research interests involve bone biomechanics and dynamic testing using Micro-CT. I am also involved in providing software solutions via networking and communication to researchers using Micro-CT. I have been an active part of the Drishti community and hold workshops for training in 3D visualisation software. More recently I have been involved in visualisation of museum collections for exhibitions and galleries.
I am also actively involved in promoting Micro-CT and 3D visualisation in the media and press.
