Applications are open for financial assistance to participate in Collaborations Workshop (CW21), taking place online from Tuesday 30 March to Thursday 1 April 2021.

The Software Sustainability Institute is committed to fostering and supporting a diverse, equitable and inclusive research software community. We are proud to offer financial assistance to members of underrepresented groups, students/early career stages, and others who may not be able to attend or fully participate in the event otherwise. 

Examples of what we can support include the cost of registration, reliable internet/data usage, a good quality headset (for example, if you are working in a shared space), and/or childminding/carer costs. We anticipate funding requests in the range of £25-£75, but if you need to request more than this then please state the reasons when filling out the application form. 

Applications will be assessed on a rolling schedule:

• Applications received by 23:59 GMT on Thursday 31 December 2020 will be reviewed and confirmed by Friday 15 January 2021.
• Applications received by 23:59 GMT on Sunday 31 January 2021 will be reviewed and confirmed by Friday 5 February 2021.
• Applications received by 23:59 GMT on Sunday 28 February 2021 will be reviewed and confirmed by Friday 5 March 2021.

If your application is not selected during a round, it will automatically be considered for the following round. Please note that we may follow up with you if we need further information to support your application.
