Collaborations Workshop 2021 (CW21) will take place online from Tuesday 30 March to Thursday 1 April 2021 and the call for submissions for participant-led mini-workshops and social activities is open! The deadline for submissions is 23:59 GMT on Sunday 31 January 2021. We will notify applicants of the outcomes by 12 February 2021.
Mini-workshops and demo sessions
Are you interested in running a 30 minute session to demonstrate a particular software product, approach or standard? Would you like to deliver specific training or an interactive tutorial? Conduct information gathering or explore a topic?
Mini-workshop and demo sessions offer unique opportunities for CW21 participants and sponsors to give an in-depth look at a particular tool or approach relating to research software. We are looking for sessions connected to one or more of the CW21 themes - FAIR Research Software, Diversity and Inclusion, and Software Sustainability - in particular, but are happy to consider any proposals involving research software. Proposals can also be related to pitches for the CW21 Hack Day. You can submit your proposal for mini-workshops and demo sessions here.
If you are looking for inspiration, the themes of last year’s Collaborations Workshop 2020 were Open Research, Data Privacy and Software Sustainability, and you can view the successful submissions here.
Social Programme Activities
We are also calling for submissions for participant-led social activities to take place during our virtual social programme. Do you have an idea for a networking or social activity? Want to lead a games night? Yoga or meditation session? Birds of a feather session? You can submit your proposal for Social Programme activities here.
