SSI feature in CSCCE's Scientific Community Profiles project

Posted by j.laird on 23 July 2021 - 9:30am

CSCCE logoThe Centre for Scientific Collaboration and Community Engagement (CSCCE) have published the latest batch of profiles from their Scientific Community Profiles project, featuring the SSI.

The profiles are part of a research project CSCCE began last year, to provide a resource to describe and discuss STEM communities – and inspire community managers, senior managers and funders alike about the possibilities of community-based projects. They describe key aspects of programming, staff, funding and more for communities in STEM.

Rachael Ainsworth, SSI Community Manager said:

Seeing how the Research Software community supported by the Institute fit within the CSCCE's framework was a really interesting and eye-opening exercise. The Institute engages a range of communities, from researchers and research software engineers to service providers and policy makers, and the Community Profile project is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our community structure and programming and see how they compare with others.
