New Code for Thought episode: A Museum for All
In the latest episode of the Code for Thought podcast, Peter Schmidt speaks to Kati Price, Head of Digital Media and Publishing at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Kati tells us what it takes to build and grow a digital estate for a modern museum.
The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is the museum for art and design. It spans nearly 5,000 years of human history and has well over one million objects. It was also one of the first to be accessible on the internet.
The V&A catalogue is accessed not only by the occasional visitors and hobbyists, but also by scientists and researchers. Keeping the digital estate up to date and compelling for users is a challenge and Kati Price takes us through how she and her team approach this in their work.
