Job alert: EPSRC MDENet expert network hiring a Research Software Engineer

Posted by j.laird on 19 July 2022 - 10:00am

The EPSRC MDENet research network are looking to hire a Research Software Engineer to develop open-source software.

The full-time RSE position will be based at King’s College London as part of the EPSRC-funded MDENet research network. MDENet seeks to create new research opportunities and develop learning resources and training in the area of model-driven engineering (MDE), a sub-field of software engineering. The RSE role will deliver a new web-based software platform to simplify the teaching of MDE by lowering the complexity of installing and configuring the tools required, effectively enabling everyone to try out MDE technologies with as little effort as possible. It will build on the existing Epsilon Playground initiative, following similar ideas as other such online playgrounds (eg, JSFiddle).

The position starts as soon as possible and runs until the end of the current MDENet funding at the end of 2023.

Salary: £40,967 to £43,239 per annum, including London Weighting Allowance.

Closing date: 31 August 2022.
