What are your goals for 2023? Would £3,000 help you achieve them? The Institute's Fellowship Programme funds researchers, software engineers and advocates who want to improve computational practice in their domains, fields and/or areas of work.

On Thursday 25 August from 11:00-12:00 BST (check your time zone here), we will host a Launch Webinar, where you can hear more about the Institute, the Fellowship Programme, the application process, and the continuation of our pilot to open the programme to international applicants. You will also hear first hand from some of our current Fellows, who will share their experiences of the programme and advice to applicants. Whether you’re planning on submitting an application or you want further information about the programme, our webinar is the perfect opportunity to learn more and ask questions about the Fellowship.

The webinar will be broadcast live on YouTube (where you can set a reminder) and made available for those who are unable to make it to watch at a later time. You can submit questions you would like answered ahead of time via Sli.do or during the webinar using the YouTube chat.

Applications

As part of the Fellowship Application, we ask for a six-minute maximum 'voice-over slide presentation screencast'. You can watch some of our 2022 Fellows’ application videos for inspiration. For technical questions about the screencast, visit the Application Video Guide for further information.

The call for applications to the Fellowship Programme 2023 is open until 3 October 2022.

Please visit the Fellowship Programme page for important dates and further information, or contact Rachael Ainsworth, Institute Community Manager at fellows-management@software.ac.uk if you have any questions.
