RSE crowd photoOnly eight days to go until the fourth annual RSE conference begins in Birmingham!

The conference will run from 17th - 19th September. The keynote speakers this year are Andy Stanford-Clark, Chief Technology Officer for IBM in UK and Ireland and Dr Ben Goldacre, best-selling author, broadcaster, campaigner, medical doctor and academic. As ever, there will be a varied talks and workshop programme split across multiple streams.

The RSE conference will also host the first AGM of the newly founded Society of Research Software Engineering on 18th September.

Registration is now closed for this year’s conference, which will welcome 350 delegates. The event has also expanded from two to three days, with the third day purely for workshops.

There will be a pre-conference drinks reception on Monday 16th September, and an informal buffet dinner in the Great Hall on Tuesday 17th. A formal conference dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday 18th.
