Get a Healthcheck on your software, for free. The Software Sustainability Institute has launched a new evaluation service to ensure your research software is as good as it can be.

The Institute’s experts will evaluate your software and provide a set of recommendations to improve your work, for no charge. We can tailor the evaluation to focus on anything you are especially concerned about.

By suggesting new technologies, practices, and other improvements, we can save you development time and increase your capability to do research, while improving the reproducibility of your results.

We can also help you to share your software with other researchers, to release it as open source, and to satisfy funder requirements on software outputs.

Please feel free to submit an application, or to contact us, no matter your discipline or background. We have worked on over 70 projects since 2010, across disciplines from archaeology to nuclear fusion, and on projects from all funding agencies. We work with both software experts and beginners, with mature projects and ones that are just starting out.

Applications from any UK institution and research area are eligible.
