Happy New Year! What are your plans for 2019? Would £3.000 help you accomplish your plans? The Institute's Fellowship programme funds researchers who want to improve computational practice in their areas of work. We’ve recently opened applications to the Fellowship Programme until 3rd February 2019.

On Friday 11th January from 2.00pm to 3.30pm UK time, we will host a Launch Webinar, where I will talk about the Programme, the application process, changes that we are introducing this year, and some of our Fellows will share their experiences. Whether you’re planning on submitting an application or you want further information about the Programme, our webinar is the perfect platform to learn more and ask questions about the Fellowship.

This year, sorted by last name, Becky Arnold, Martin Donnelly, Vincent Knight, Danny Wong and Yo Yehudi will join us on the webinar to talk about their experience as Institute Fellows. Their backgrounds are in astronomy, information systems, operational research, clinical medicine and genetics, which will provide our attendees with a broad but not limited view of the research areas that can benefit from better software or coding practices. Applications from all research areas are welcome!

The webinar will be recorded and made available on our YouTube channel. This will allow you to watch it, in the case you couldn't attend the webinar, or replay it whenever.

As part of the application, we ask for a six-minute maximum "voice-over slide presentation screencast.” Some of our 2018 Fellows shared their application video on YouTube. For technical questions about the screencast, we have a page with information.

Contact us by email if you need further assistance.
