Interests
I am a researcher interested in digital preservation with a strong focus on the access to preserved digital material.
My work
I am a third-year PhD student on a collaborative doctoral program with The National Archives and University College London. The project is funded by the London Arts and Humanities Partnership. My PhD focuses on the constraints that digital preservation practitioners face when making digital material accessible. To answer this question I have been interviewing participants that operate within this space. The focus is not only on the archival sector, but also other institutions and organisation that make digital material accessible.
During my PhD I was able to work on a number of projects related to this topic. Including setting up a Machine Learning Club with my colleague Mark Bell, participating in a Data Study Group with the Alan Turing Institute and running a Data Science & Humanities discussion group with Federico Nanni.
