The Research Bazaar Conference

Posted by a.hay on 19 December 2014 - 11:00am

A new software conference has been announced, to take place in Melbourne, Australia on 16-18 February 2015.

The Research Bazaar Conference is intended to encourage the development of digital skills and networking amongst researchers and builds on similar doctoral training programmes in the UK and USA.

It will also take place in two halves. The first of these will focus on teaching research students and early career academics in programming, data analysis and other useful digital skills. Included will be workshops that cater for a wide range of subjects from across the sciences and the humanities.

The second will be a social event where participants will be able to network and form collaborations. There will also be a range of catering provided throughout the conference, social events, music, early morning yoga sessions and an outdoor cinema.

The conference will take place at the University of Melbourne's Parkville campus, with on-site accommodation and camping facilities (pictured) provided. Entry and meals are free.

If you would like to attend, please not that first round registrations have already been considered, but you can apply for a second round offer now, with a deadline of December 30th. A smaller number of third round registrations will also be considered on January 30th, but please be aware that places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
