Cloud computing may provide a €1 trillion boost to the EU economy
A new communication from the European Commission called Unleashing the Potential of Cloud Computing in Europe predicts that the uptake of cloud computing could boost the European economy "an overall cumulative impact on GDP of EUR 957 billion, and 3.8 million jobs, by 2020". This boost to the economy would arise from cutting ICT costs and, when combined with new digital business practices, a boost to productivity, growth and jobs.
