The first dry run of a supercomputing driver’s licence

We have worked with Software Carpentry to developing a Supercomputing Driver’s Licence for researchers who wish to use the DiRAC (Distributed Research using Advanced Computing) integrated supercomputing facility. Last week we ran a dry-run of our driving test with two members of the Institute and two members of EPCC, who together provided valuable feedback on the scope, nature, difficulty, and utility of such a test.

For full details of the test and the experiences of the dry-runners read our Alpha Test of Driver’s License Exam blog post over at Software Carpentry.
