Interesting study on the barriers that prevent researchers from publishing their code
Although researchers are increasingly aware of the need to publish and maintain software code alongside their results, practical barriers can prevent this from happening.
Our partners at SoundSoftware (an organisation that supports software in audio and music research) have examined the barriers that prevent publishing of code, and propose an incremental approach to overcoming them. They also make recommendations for research groups that seek to improve their researchers’ software practice.
